Nevada Gym Reopening Guidelines

Gyms in Nevada were part of the phase II reopening plan that took place at the end of summer this year. The guidelines also stated that the machines either needed to be spaced at least 6 feet apart or that every other machine should be marked closed to make sure that patrons were staying at least 6 feet apart at all times.

Classes are also required to limit the number of patrons or move to a larger space where proper social distancing guidelines can be followed and where people can be far enough apart from one another. Face coverings are required by employees at all times. The communal areas of the gym, meaning the showers, hot tubs, break area, locker room, steam rooms and pools need to remain closed until further notice. Bathrooms are to remain open but they do need to be disinfected properly every few hours to ensure that they are clean and safe.

All contact sports must be discontinued until further notice. This means that basketball, boxing, martial arts, wrestling or any other sport where social distancing cannot be followed should be put off or closed until further notice. It is also required that the gyms are kept clean and that they are routinely disinfected to ensure that they are safe for patrons.
