National chain Enviro-Master, which provides restroom hygiene services to restaurants, day cares, schools and other businesses, has its eyes set on expanding to the Fresno area. Fresno is one of 18 areas the company is targeting for growth over the next year.

Enviro-Master was ranked in Entrepreneur’s 2016 Franchise 500 and named to INC’s 5000 fastest growing companies in the U.S. for 2015 and 2016. It is an approved vendor for more than 220 brand-name businesses nationwide including McDonald’s, Home Depot, Outback Steakhouse, Wendy’s and Sam’s Club.

Scott Warren, the senior vice president of franchise development and sales for Enviro-Master, said the company offers a much-needed service to all businesses where restroom cleanliness is a major concern, especially in the digital age when just the sight of an unclean restroom can lead a patron to write a negative online review that keeps other customers away. Warren said franchise ownership offers an attractive recession-resistant business model.

“This is an extremely lucrative executive business model where franchisees can replace a six-figure income,” Warren said. “Owners are not out sanitizing commercial facilities; they are growing, training and supporting a small sales team.”

The total investment for a franchisee is between $200,000 and $300,000, which includes an exclusive territory, inventory, warehouse, salaries and operating capital. In a territory the size of Fresno County, with a population around 1 million according to the U.S. Census, the initial franchise fee is $60,000.
